Where do you want to begin again?

The Journaling Muse – Issue #37 Where do you want to begin?

A soft space to reflect, reconnect, and create with feeling.
My intention is to help you slow down and soothe your nervous system — through colour, texture, and expressive journaling that speaks gently to your inner world.

Hi, Dear Reader,

The beginning of October feels like opening a fresh page. Summer has slipped behind us and we’re standing at the quiet edge of a new season.

It’s the perfect time to ask: where do I want to begin again?

For me, that question is very real right now. The eco house I’ve been working on for more than three years is finally on the market. My heart feels heavy to let go of such a big, beautiful, nearly zero-waste home.

But, I also know that selling most of my Hungarian properties in the next few months will bring a new kind of freedom. This is my own threshold: releasing what I’ve carried so I can step into what’s next.

✨ Journaling Prompts

  • What am I ready to release, even if it feels heavy?
  • What fresh beginning calls to me now?
  • If I stepped into that beginning today, how would it feel in my body, my words, my choices?

🎨 Creative Spark

Create a page or canvas with two halves: one for release, one for renewal.

  • On one side, write or paint what you are letting go of.
  • On the other, layer colors, shapes, or words that represent your next chapter.
Notice how both sides belong on the same page — the ending and the beginning.

🌿 A Little Muse for You

This week’s Muse painting is I Will Keep You Safe in My Heart. I created it while my son was living abroad and I missed him deeply.

It holds the tenderness of letting go while still keeping love close. I even made another version on paper, where I sewed a thread between the two figures — a visible reminder of the invisible bond that distance cannot break.

Cheering on You,

Beáta

P.S.: For me, beginning again isn’t a gentle reset — it’s when life turns upside down. My own starts and stops happen because I can’t keep living the same way forever. Pain and change force me to shift, to let go, and to rebuild. If you’re in a similar place, know that you’re not alone. Beginning again can be hard and messy, but it’s also where freedom and new life slowly take root.
