A soft space to reflect, reconnect, and create with feeling. My intention is to help you slow down and soothe your nervous system — through colour, texture, and expressive journaling that speaks gently to your inner world.
Hi, Dear Reader,
Recently, whenever I tried to touch something light, uplifting, or magical, I found myself swallowed by crowds instead.
On the last warm November day, we drove toward Ojcow hoping for a peaceful walk, only to discover that there wasn’t even space to park. Zakopane was the same—a long, slow crawl through a village overflowing with people. And last Sunday, Wawel and the Christmas market were simply impossible to enter. So I slipped into a quiet church nearby… Maybe Kraków and Zakopane really are this busy now. But it left me wondering:
How do we prepare our hearts for the holidays when everything around us feels crowded and commercialised?
I’ve been turning inward instead—toward silence, warmth, memory. This December, I’m planning to reconnect with one old friend every day, just to remember that gentle, human glow that can’t be found in a market square.
And maybe that’s where the quiet glow of this season truly lives: not out there, but inside us.
Journaling Prompts — Noticing Your Quiet Glow
Choose one or explore them all:
Where do I notice small glows of light in my days right now—outside and inside?
When did I last feel a soft warmth in my chest, even for a moment?
What parts of this season feel dark or heavy—and is there any tiny light hidden inside them?
What gentle ritual of light could I make part of my evenings?
If my inner light had a colour right now, what would it be? What might help it glow more?
If you want to feel this theme in your body, try journaling by candlelight or a dim lamp this week.
Creative Play — Following the Glow
These are simple, grounding invitations:
• Glow Sketch Draw the feeling of soft light using just 2–3 colours. No forms needed, only mood.
• Candlelight Writing Write a few lines by the glow of a candle or small lamp. Notice how the light changes your thoughts.
• Little Lantern Collage Create a collage of things that hold warmth for you—colours, textures, tiny words, scraps.
• Light Map Make a page marking all the places in your life where small glows appear: friendships, rituals, memories, sensations.
Let each tiny act be a lantern you light for yourself.
A Painting for This Week — Portal to the Dream Forest
This week, I’m sharing a painting that feels like the a soft portal leading into a dream forest, a place untouched by crowds or noise. It’s a painting born from longing for stillness, for refuge, for a world where the light comes from within.
